“The vastly complex issues we now face are ‘out of proportion’ to what can be addressed in a single, traditional movie. Reality itself has to be re-arranged to make sense of our world.”
Lech Kowalski, Director, in Camerawar.tv
Believing that the feature film format was incapable of capturing the complex challenges facing people today, director Lech Kowalski set out to make a series of online shorts, Camerawar.tv, that covered multiple sides of tough issues and could be experienced in any order. Over the course of a year, Kowalski posted new shorts to the Camerawar.tv website once a week. Each short tackled global issues on a local scale, asking people about their experiences on topics as wide ranging as abortion, prison, food, Obama, and fashion. Presenting each short as a “chapter,” Kowalski encourages his audience to experience them in any order and create their own narrative.
