Adobe Firefly is a text-to-image generative AI system. Its main function is to generate images based on human text prompts. It also serves as an editing tool and can add or remove objects from images and create templates for posters, among other functions. It works with Adobe Illustrator to recolor artwork and Adobe Photoshop to add, remove or expand elements in images.

For image generation, a user can adjust aspect ratio, lighting, color tones, camera angles without a prompt, and structure preferences and desired styles by inputting a reference photo or through a drop-down menu.

Upon downloading generated images, Adobe Firefly applies content credits to indicate that the content was AI-generated. This feature ensures transparency and clarity regarding the source of the content.
