“At the heart of this project is a simple premise: nearly every person in the U.S. has an immigration journey—be it their own or the voyage of a relative in the past.”

The Immigrant Nation Team, on the project’s Facebook page

The United States is a nation of immigrants. Participatory project Immigrant Nation explores the United States’ rich, multicultural heritage through short films focused on various people who settled in America, as well as information about historical waves of immigration. The iNation site encourages web visitors to submit their own immigration stories, and the team has planned a series of live events to promote the project and gather content from local communities.
