“At a time when thousands and thousands of great films are available at any moment to stream or download or watch for free on YouTube, “A Thousand Thoughts” reminds us of the value in the unique experience, the hand-crafted, the ephemeral, and something that is never experienced the same way twice.”

Sam Green, Author.

A Thousand Thoughts is a unique live music documentary experience that follows the trajectory of the iconic Kronos Quartet, spanning more than four decades transforming and reimagining string quartets.

The performance combines the screening of archival visual materials, interviews with the Kronos Quartet members and their collaborators, such as Laurie Anderson, Tanya Tagaq, and Phillip Glass, with a live performance by the Kronos Quartet accompanied by director Sam Green’s onstage narration. In doing so, the event becomes a delicate composition that immerses the audience in an exceptional collective experience.
