We are basically able to see the things that we can put into linear stories, but we don’t have a good talent for seeing things that we cannot put into a linear format, but they are still there.
Florian Thalhofer, Korsakow’s Creator, at Nieman Storyboard
Germany, Summer 2006 – a sea of black, red and gold. The 2006 Soccer World Cup changed forever the way Germans perceived their country.
Half a year later filmmaker Florian Thalhofer and photographer Juliane Henrich traveled 2562 kilometers through Germany to talk to people who still display a German flag outside their house. They turned the collected material into an interactive documentary using the Korsakow system.
