Secret Location, Interactive Producers, in Targeting the Electorate

An online companion to the Frontline documentary “The Digital Campaign,” interactive quiz Targeting the Electorate delivers personalized information to its web visitors. Created during the 2012 U.S. presidential election, the quiz reveals how political campaigns target voters. When users land on Targeting the Electorate, the site detects their location, then asks a series of questions about their political affiliation and media consumption habits. It then reveals why campaigns are targeting them and for what purpose. The results are sharable on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
