_Eko

A platform for the creation and distribution of interactive videos.

Eko allows users to control branching-path narratives similar to a “choose your own adventure” format. It is a tool for production as well as web distribution of interactive videos. Formerly known as Interlude, Eko was launched in 2013 and went viral with the interactive music video for Bob Dylan’s Like a Rolling Stone. Since then, numerous projects were created with Eko – from interactive live-action videos to VR experiences.

By utilizing Eko’s Javascript library and platform, the author can easily design HTML5 interactive video experiences . Eko offers guidelines to help creators understand not only the tool but also the process of storytelling, interaction design, postproduction and distribution.
