Lens Studio is a real-time tool for creating Snapchat Lenses: both Face Lenses (front camera experiences) and World Lenses (rear camera experiences). Lens Studio is an application for creating augmented reality experiences within Snapchat. Augmented reality is a key component in Snapchat, with 75% of the community engaging with augmented reality every day. And since everything created on Lens studio exports to Snapchat, anyone with the Snapchat app can interact with the AR content, no matter the brand of their mobile device. Writing code is unnecessary, but one can create even more complex experiences using JavaScript.
Design and import any 2D or 3D object into Lens Studio. From there, use a pre existing templates for or start from scratch. Either way, all the editing tools are available to use in order to add tracking, texture, scripting and many more. Newer Lens Studio versions even allow landmark and building tracking as well as the ability to import custom machine learning algorithms.
